Serial # question
Hey all, I have a 1601 from early '60s, solid yellow gold. When I last took it in to be serviced, the technician commented that it was very unusual. I asked why and he said the 7 digit serial number is the same backwards as forwards. Although it's interesting to me, in the opinion of this forum, does it increase the value of the watch?

But you could use it as a unique feature.

Thanks for the welcome.
I'm planning on buying a new SS Sub in the next few days. I've always liked them and I figure now's the time. Also looked at Explorer II and the new GMT. Tough decision as they are all lovely. I think the numbers on the bezel of the new GMT are a little over the top but it's still stunning. Just realized TRF existed a few days ago. Isn't the internet bloody marvellous? |

Hi David, welcome aboard!
The unique serial # would be a conversation piece but add nothing to the value, to me.
