I cannot believe it, Dan Carter is out of the world Cup having sustained an injury (groin) while training.

...Bugger!!
Well done England (much as it pains me to say it!) but I'm off to post about the Scotland rugby team in the "what does the word CHOKE make you think of" thread!!! They had it won against Argentina and took their foot off the gas and made silly errors... They had it won against England and took their foot off the gas and made silly errors... Great win for Wales!

The scots did play well, I thought England would see them off easily but Scotland played with so much passion and just didn't get the run of the ball at times. If they have scored that try I think t might have gone the other way.
It would have been nice to see England and Scotland through to the qtr's.

Given the game today I tend to think that Piri Weepu will be assigned to fill Carter's role.
But it is definitely a one game at a time proposition.

Brilliant win for a brilliant Ireland team, despite the best efforts of a ropey referee. We could do something amazing here, with plenty of World Class players who know that this is their last chance in RWC.

Well they most certainly gave Fiji a lesson beating them 66-nil.And the Welsh side has been strong in all there matches. And even in the Springboks game the Welsh were the better side. And should have won as that penalty was over the post, but its the refs decision at the time, but he should of asked for video playback..

looks like Wales are going to do it - well done. Brilliant play and tactics. I don't know why we (Ireland) were so static. Still some small hope though.

clock ticking down. Wales' defence has been absolutely amazing, but Ireland should have gone for drop goals, would have forced Wales to come out more.
Congratulations to Wales! |

Have to agree Steve Wales have played well right though the tournament, and our fellow brother Irish Celts put up a strong game. But we were just too strong for them and with two Welsh kicks hitting the posts.

Last 5 minutes of the game, the French team will have to be very careful in order to hold their lead.
