looks like im sticking with rolex

i got the chance to visit our local ADs here. went to see iwc, breitling, panerai, omega, jlc. i spent quite some time to look at the different models.

im really glad i made the right choice with rolex. it has the toughest case toughest movement, yet the most comfortable bracelet and handsome good looks.

this is the watch im going to keep to hand down to my son.

i wonder if there will be other contenders to rolex sports watches? the other brands don't seem to hold up to the oyster case (aside from panerai) the omega PO 8500 still hasn't arrived here (so im waiting for that).

i just thought we could have a good discussion here.

It is their resale value that brings me back to them. I love the fact that I can wear the watch for 5 yrs and still sell it for what I paid for it or take minimal loss that I can accept. Only Rolex does it.

Yes, the price of entry is high but loss of your $$ is even higher if you do not put it in a Rolex.

Gotta go with Rolex in the tough, reliable and value-delivering departments.

Quality equals value equals Rolex.

If you`re in finance it`s called value investing,if you`re into watches,well,you know,nothing equals Rolex.

it's gotta be a Rolex. No other brand keeps it's value throughout the years than Rolex, my humble opinion.

I tend to agree with you. Since picking up my sub my IWC hasn't seen my wrist for more than a day. It's actually on my Dad's wrist now since I haven't been wearing it.
Rolex or bust imo.
