Thank you for your participation
Two weeks ago I did what I did what I thought I never would, I posted on the forum asking feedback on two models, the Sub C-LV vs. DJ II. Thank you for all of the comments it was great to hear the different opinions.
The week before my initial posting my wife and I were visiting a local AD looking for her Christmas gifts and during that time she decided to surprise my by telling me that I should get a new watch for Christmas and she would pay for it. Her favorite of the the two was the LV but I have been wanting a dressy watch since having relinquished ownership of my DJ to her. On Wed before Thanksgiving my package arrived and I got the following: I feel that owning this piece is really cool since not everyone has it and it stands out in my collection with the different color.

Congratulations! Needless to say your wife is very generous! Wear it in good health and in her honor!

original Submariner regardless of date, circa 1953-55? - current (black aka LN)
Submariner Date 16610LV 2003-07? I'm pretty sure there are more black and blue subs than LV's since the former has been around much longer, but I'm open to being humbled :) |

I did buy from an AD and he shipped it just like he gets it from Rolex. The watches come in the small plastic vault box with the other box & papers separate.

Now the only thing I have to wait for is Christmas. Today we wrapped it up and put it under the tree. She can't wear her new jewelry and I can't wear the watch.
