Someone showed me the auto tracking device feature on the 4s the other day so you should be able to get it tracked quite easily. A friend recently had her 4s stolen with her handbag and it was tracked to house a gang was operating from in the local area and recovered a stack of stolen goods at the same time just because of the 4s

I disagree with your opinion. If it's not yours it's not yours.

What goes around comes around.

If a cashier gives me 10 cents too much change I give it back - it's not mine.

Just me!

I will not say what I really feel, as I respect TRF.

i want to talk about a non rolex recovery, sorry maybe off the topic a litte. my wife went out to walk our 2 dogs, and she dropped her little coin wallet with her integrated car keys, ~$40 cash, and insurance card in it. She reported to the local police station and hope for the luck. The key cost ~$350 for replacementThe little LV coin wallet cost $200, she totally lost ~$600 for a dog walk. And guess what, few days later my insurance agent called me saying a young lady dropped off the coin wallet, and it was totally untouched, not even a dime missing All she left us is an email just to make sure we got the wallet back. We think her action worth $200 and emailed her numerous time to reward her, but never heard from her again. Seriously I probably will keep the cash and the LV wallet for myself. If all of us are like her, this world will be sooo much more beautiful.

I have no doubt that the person who thinks he can justify keeping something he finds for the reasons stated previously is both lonely and paranoid, able to see faults in everyone but himself through the cloudy lens of low self-esteem. Over a lifetime, he may count himself fortunate to find and keep a few items that have some material value, but he will over the same lifetime miss out on a thousand things that cannot be measured as material items but which are intrinsically priceless in themselves. Examples would be real trust and true friendship, and another would be faith in one's fellow man. I would rather have these precious things to enhance my life than be anything like the solitary figure on the beach with the metal detector who thinks to himself, "Ha, I have found the Rolex that you idiots over there are still looking for, but I will not return it because I can see that I am better than all of you." May the light of understanding strike you like Scrooge before the end of your days because from the impotent darkness you project, it is obvious you don't get and are missing out on the true meaning of life.

About a month ago, I went to this really crummy bar the size and look of a FEMA trailer....it used to be a coal shoveling pit back in the old days...The only lights used to illuminate the place are red christmas lights..Its called Snake and Jakes Christmas Bar in New Orleans.. Anyway , I had 20 20 dollar bills ($400) in a bank envelope..I woke up the next morning with it GONE. I didn't even bother calling the bar. Could you imaging that phone call. They would have laughed at me...The funny thing is I went in there a few days ago and mentioned the story to the current bartender ( a different woman) and she said Ohhh if I would I have found it I would have returned it....Somehow I don't believe that.

On a practical note. Would it be a good idea to photocopy cert & receipts in case of theft . Im guessing the thief would take my boxes etc? Have thought about a safe, any thoughts. Slightly of topic, sorry.

Do unto others .......

Unfortunately, some people have a tendency to revert to the lowest common denominator which is perhaps why our society in general is floundering......

But for me it's just a simple matter of honour. I would not even hesitate for a second and would go out of my way to track down the rightful owner. But there's also a huge amount of pleasure and satisfaction to be had from doing the right thing too. I recently jumped into the back of a taxi in Warsaw and found a new blackberry phone on the seat.

Luckily, blackberry's have a contact phone number on the screen if lost. I phoned the owner and she was so happy (almost crying) to have someone phone her and return her new phone.

For me that's absolutely priceless

If you fell over, most people would stop and help you up, make sure you're ok.

Others would sidetrack you by as if you weren't there.

A small minority would walk over your head on the way past.

The remaining tiny minority would steal your watch.

Thankfully, the majority are decent human beings.

I don't plan on losing any of my stuff. I wouldn't want the likes of the Casio guy having to stand in judgement over whether I'd ever get it back.

First of all it is not rumor, it happened. Should the family have it back should they wanted? I see why not. The family is not responsible for Guevara's actions, and after all this watch was stolen from him after he was ordered to be murdered by the president of Bolivia at the time.

This is a very valuable watch due to its history and I do think the family should go after it.

Guevara did many bad things as he was very passionate about his believes, but he should've had a trial and not have his property stolen is my opinion.
