5513 meters first...

What is going on with all of the mid 70s and most recently a 1977 Rolex 5513 with meters first dials?

I was in contact with an individual in regards to a 5513 meters first, it looked "Ok". The person goes to a jeweler today, to have the bracelet removed (my suggestion) and it's a 5 million serial

It's been in the person's family (was spouses father's)?

This is the second time this has happened to me...

Any way possible or...

The latest would be MAYBE 1973 at the very latest. Maybe it was serviced decades back and the watchmaker had 2 5513's in and the dials got mixed up...as that happened with a buddies 1680 Red, when it was serviced in the 1980's it was mixed up with a 5.8mil case.

meters first...
i was in grade school in the early 70's, at which time America tried and failed to sell the metric system to the nation... i guess i'm just destined to be a feet first guy (product of my environment)
