Mik..you know that Bryan is totally OCD about his pieces!

Bryan...being the same OCD that I am..I would think its on par with polishing...less the better but its a necessary evil...

dont know about indefinately- but it does wrk when needed, I also would like to know w/o issues as well. I use it for my Helson skindiver & it wrkd outstanding

I've seen some gnarly acrylic crystals come back to life with polywatch (or equivalent) and a buffing wheel.

Of course, you can only go so far.

Patina ...the battle scars suffered by the watch of the urban cowboy in the steel and brick city caves.Its part of daily battles,character markings,accepted,but I will fight it to the end ...I will never surrender !!! Cape Cod,Wenol Red and Polywatch my tools of mass elimination.
