How about a Hijack-foolproof thread?

Hi guys and gals,

Would it be possible for us to continue a thread (say, like this one), which I have started and let it carry on unhijacked? Would it be remotely possible for us tossers to go through an entire thread, stick to the subject on hand and not cause a single hijack along the way?

This is a challenge!! Go for it!!

You rigged this thing, baldy. How can you hijack a thread that has no subject?

But, hey, we have enough creative people here. Let's make this a challange. How do you hijack a thread that was about nothing to start with - (sounds like a Seinfeld episode ).

So I was walking to work today and I saw by buddy Jack. I said 'hi Jack,' and he said hello and then went on about how he has a relative in New Zealand who is not only bald, but also as a penchant for virgin wool.

Now I asked him 'do you mean sweaters and hats?' And he said 'no, the actual sheep.'

This got me thinking about my uncle who lives in Wales who also has a penchant for sheep. But he actually emigrated from Scotland. He always said that Scotmen wear kilts because the sheep can hear zippers at 50 meters. Anyways, my Scottish uncle in Wales is also a marine biologist, which is ironic given that he lives in Wales.

Anyway, because of his work as a marine biologist, he had to take up scuba diving to, you know, do his work. In the process he became a professional diving instructor.

Don't you hate it when you walk out of a building and there's a bunch of people standing outside the door smoking?

Our office just had its annual Thanksgiving lunch and I ate too much turkey and stuffing and potatoes and tacos and pie and cake and . . . . This is the start of porking up season for which I then have to do penance after the first of the year.

It's now time to take a nap for the rest of the afternoon before heading out teach my law school class tonight.

If I didn't have to spend so much time here responding to a certain bald Kiwi's challanges, I would actually get some work done.

Yeah, here in Melbourne we've got a Chinese restaurant called King of Kings - the decor's 70's-style dingy, but the dumplings are great. Funny the names they come up with - something must be lost in translation.

One floor up from Sasha's office there's a Chinese restaurant called "The Silky Emperor". It always sounded like a Tang Dynasty pimp to me.

We have a place in Dallas called the silky empress, they have some different things on the menu than most eating places from what I have heard.

James, do you ever get to Hong Kong? And, if so, what's your favorite restaurant there - Chinese and otherwise?

Nah, oddly enough, Hong Kong is one place I've never gotten around to visiting. Maybe one of these days, when I'm in the mood and financial state to pickup a Black GMT!

What, if I may ask, is the definition of "eating" in this context?

Actually there is a club in Toronto that could use that name, Silky Empress. They have only asian dancers there. I think most are in the country illegally and they've also been busted for prostitution a couple of times. But I never saw anything illegal going on when I was there... um... cuz they serve a really good lunch menu.

If you recall the Danforth Hotel, it was a fequent haunt of mine while living in Toronto for school......for the "lunch" also........

There was also the the Latin Quarter, and some other places on the West end of town that I went to for "lunch".......sometimes dinner as well.
