Uh... Yeah... Interesting promotion

Ahem... So... I hope that all the females of TRF know me well enough to know that I am NOT a chauvinist. I have a tremendous amount of respect for women. Enough said on that.

Well.. there is an interesting article in this months edition of WatchTime magazine. It is an interview with ... Mrs. Sandrine Stern. Now, Mrs. Stern, is the wife of Thierry Stern... the CEO of Patek Phillipe watch company. She, is also... Patek Phillipe's Director of Design. I.e. She heads up the division that designs new Pateks, and makes the decision on which features will be added to current models etc. Obviously, this is an incredibly demanding... involved... and important position.

Ahem.. Now, Mrs. Stern is an exceptionally beautiful... young woman. I am sure she is also very intelligent... In reading the article.... You find that... prior to her current position, and prior to marrying MR. Stern... she... worked at Patek Phillipe.... Quote: "... in the department that handled exhibitions." UnQuote. I don't know about PP, but at Sony, these are the people that set up the booths and displays at trade shows.

Then... she married the CEO.... and is promoted.... to...... Director of Design...

Hmm... just... well... uhm.... Hmmmmmmmmm.......

I thought the article said that she was in the design department as an assistant in 1998?

She has a background in design so is relatively qualified for the role.
No doubt her relationship with the CEO helped but she was hardly working at a fish and chip shop beforehand!

Cecilia Have a look at the last paragraph of the article in the picture, apparently the 24 is a big seller

It seems your wish might not come true.

Well, I think that Patek makes some of the most beautiful watches in the industry, so she must be doing something right, whatever that is.

I've never actually perused the ladies watches, though, if that's where she works.

Pretty lady, to be sure.
