Hermès H Belt

A recent Rolex and belt topic has got me lusting after a large buckle Hermès H belt but can't find them on the Hermès site only links to EBay or various dubious looking sites.

Any info guys ?

You have to purchase in a Hermes Boutique, Hermes does not sell their more desirable items on the internet. Ebay is ripe with fake Hermes, be very cautious there.

Given the fact that you are in Englnd I would call Fenwick or Harrodsburg in London. Ask to be transferred to men's department and get private shopper to help you. They ship.

I would definitely buy it at a Hermes store. Loads of fakes.

I have 2 belts and the H Buckle. Don't go cheap and try to save cash. If you want to wear Hermes and buy off eBay you will probably get a fake.

Yeah did think the Hermes site looked pretty bare.. TBH I wasn't even going to entertain any eBay or such like places just noted as that's pretty much the only places I could locate the belt.

Being honest I just wanted the ease of distance buying as I very rarely frequent anywhere that has such brands.

Not too concern about cost well TBH I'm not in the league of most guys on here but wouldn't by fake I'd rather save :-)

Out of interest what size H buckle did you get ? I was after the larger 42" or is it 43" size and a couple of belts with it, mainly for smart jeans wear.

The larger (42mm) H is occasionally offered online but not right now. The boutiques stock them but the brushed nickel is very difficult to find but if you like polished gold, they seem to be everywhere.. I did see it at CDG though if you happen to be flying there sometime soon. If you call, speak to both mens and women's department because its a unisex product. It's is sold as a kit, so you pick the buckle and you pick the color strap then you buy it together. You can order additional straps online if you want to add more colors.

One word or caution, I and everyone else I know that has the 42mm has had issues with the palladium wearing off quicker than the 32mm. The edges of mine were showing brass within 6 months which is unacceptable for the price. My guess is because the buckle is huge and rubs against your pants all day long. To have it refinished takes 8-10 months and they currently don't offer the refurb exchange program with this particular buckle.

I wasn't implying you were cheap. Just saying be careful with high end leather goods on eBay. If you've never used a personal shopper before its a cool service. My fiancé uses on from Saks and Nordstrom every so often. A little more expensive but we aren't close to one and it saves time.

I've had the 32mm for 2 years and it still looks new. The 42mm corners started showing brass after 4 months. Don't settle for something just because its available. I would wait for the one I want and be happy.

I wear the 42mm with jeans which is far more abrasive than suit pants which is when I wear the 32mm so that clearly has something to do with it plus being much larger, its always touching my jeans when I sit

Sorry if my reply came across that way I do value your input I just listed eBay as it popped up as the only real so to speak source online.

So all the advice most welcome...

No never used a personal shopper service as to be honest I tend to always dress casual in Raphly polo's and TR jeans so my only real expense on clothing is shoes and boots.. My wife on the other hand lol

All my other leather goods are MB but they don't do a jeans belt and LV, Gucci round my area are faked so much it become a joke !

Bit naive in this field so could do with all the help..

No I wouldn't buy just for ease but I had in mind the larger size would suit jeans better but I was open to the idea of either depending on which I preferred !

I don't know how much the gold buckle is but the nickel is $450USD and the strap is $560USD at the time I bought it in October

They have stacks of them in Selfridges manchester. I think they are as faked as LV in my opinion but that stuff doesnt worry me as long as I know.
I love the orange belt, But a goyard belt is better.

You didn't come off in a bad way. I just wanted to let you know that I thought what I said came out wrong. The nickel buckle is the one I have and I wear it with jeans. IMO it dresses up and down just like a Rolex. I'm not a frugle person either but dropping that kind of cash on a belt really took all I had. I will say I haven't regretted it one bit. I have a black belt and a chestnut brown one. The brown gets used all the time.

I've worn my gold one for 17 years and still looks like new. Of course I had to buy a new strap and you can only get spare straps at the Rue de Fabourg store in Paris. At that time I also bought a a silver brushed buckle to have some variety. I think I paid like €580 Euros for the set. Not a 100% sure.
