I hate DST and think it's a total scam.
We spent a grand total of 4 months and 5 days in Standard Time. Why don't they change DST to Standard Time and call what used to be Standard Time DWT, Daylight Wasting Time? http://news.nationalgeographic.com/n...orward-nation/ http://news.nationalgeographic.com/n...orward-nation/

I'm wearing my all black GMT-II so my change will be just as easy, Rob. Of course, I also have my Omega X-33 with me in Florida right now, so that will take an extra few seconds to set. I'll do that before beddy-bye time tonight so it will be all set when I take it on my daily morning walk tomorrow.

If you move to AZ, you would be unemployed. It only means we are now 3 hours behind east coast tv programming as opposed to two.

Here's a view from the kitchen. And here's one from our balcony. That's the Deerfield Beach pier in the distance. They do a great fireworks display on the 4th of July. That's why we always come down here that time of year.

Thanks, Rob. The views are why I fell in love with the place from the moment I saw it. We've been in the high 70's - low 80's since we got here Wednesday evening. It did rain much of Thursday, but it's been beautiful ever since. Saw a whole bunch of BMW 645i and Merc. 550SL drop tops today with the tops down. We have to make do with Avalon rentals. Nice car, but I'd rather have my Lexus 430SC drop top down here right now.

Aside from resetting the clocks in the house, it won't make much difference. Every time I put a watch on its been sitting for a few days, so it needs winding and resetting. The only exceptions are the non-quickset Rolex and Seiko 5 which live on the winder.

My clocks set themselves, so that's not really a problem, even if the weather is bad between here and Ft. Collins and it takes a day or more to catch up. I rarely ever depend on an alarm clock anymore. On those rare occasions, I use the Blackberry.
I only set my watches when I wear them, so no big deal there, either. I hate DST because of what it does to the balance of daylight during waking hours and of course what that extra hour of heat does to the natural cooling of the atmosphere during those hours. The Explorer is ready now ready for some daylight saving!

All my clocks changed this morning, presumably at 0200. Even the analog clock that I have in the worst possible place to pick up a signal changed.
