What were they thinking? Needless to say, I'm sure it'll do well.

Looks OK to me......

Just like watches, there's something out there for everyone. You just need to find it!

I don't like any of the newer Toyota designs. They ruined my favorite SUV, the Land Cruiser, and turned the Sequoia and 4runner into bloated Chevy Suburbans.

I don't see anything wrong with the look.

It's highly derivative, but what's new about that?

YIKES. That is a lot of bland plastic...I gota say the exterior body is decent looking, but most japanese cars don't appeal to me.

why can't Toyota use Audi as a benchmark

Elegant, well thought interior

I think the baby boomers are about twenty years too young for this car. This model has always been a dog in toyota's lineup, it like their crown Victoria. Good for taxicabs and retirees that had enough common sense not to buy a Lincoln.

I'm sure they try, but that is why an Audi is an Audi, and a Toyota a Toyota...because they can't quite get to Audi's level - nor should they probably, as they're completely different classes. Audi also happens to be leading everyone in styling. That is a beautiful interior!

I'm sure it will continue to sell fine to the older crowd who don't want American stuff and don't want to spend $80k+ on something from Europe. It's not that bad. And that Audi interior isn't making me want to trade in the Benz.
There's something for everyone.

For $45k I can think of a plethora of other vehicles I'd consider.

It looks alright.

I wouldn't buy it but neither would I get so upset as to vomit over it.
