I don't mind it. Got to see it in person before making a decision on it though.

Looks fantastic compared to the outgoing model.

Still would need to be a screaming bargain compared to a Lexus.

Well I find it quite beautiful, a bit expensive perhaps but I do think it looks good.

Here is something to settle you down Kenneth as you like the 'vintagey' stuff.

Is that a word?

love the vintage british cars where they use real wood for the trim panels, unlike cars of today where they use acrylic "wood" trim panels.

I think the new Avalon looks like the Audi A7. As for the interior, it's just fine. Remember that the Avalon has a bench front seat so it will look a bit off compared to a dash separated by a console.

I recently had a new Camry as a rental car and I was blown away by how nice the dash and amenities were. The car is leaps and bounds better than the previous generation Camry. If the new Avalon is similarly improved, it will be quite a car.

As a frame of reference, I drive a BMW 5er and I am picky about cars.

That is a sexy car, I like the old stuff better than the new cars.

The Avalon looks horrible, and Toyota does not have that quality they once had. I sat in the new Camry at the NY Auto show and can tell you the materials were horrid on the inside, and the seating position was even worse.

Beautiful. I had a 1987 XJ6 and it had fantastic wood trim, large thin (no air bag) steering wheel. Such a special driving experience from a real British car.

86 or 97 was the last of the series 3 body styles, completely different from the 92.

'87 was the last of the independent rounded headlights and curved taillights. In '88 they went to rectangular - such a shame. Still, those cars had more style than what Ford did to them

I have to disagree. My parents have a Camry from the previous generation and the new one has much nicer interior styling, materials, and amenities.
