Watches with very bright lume

Hey guys,

Just wondering if any one had suggestions for watch brands that have very bright lume, I've looked at Luminox and Lum-Tec, the lume looks great, I like some of the styles but nothing screams "I have to have", my only real requirement is a mechanical movement (prefer auto but manual wind is ok)...thanks in advance for the help

Watches with tritium tubes like Luminox don't glow brightly like a watch with SuperLuminova. The tubes emit a constant glow, but it's not intense like SL.

H3 Tactical with tubes (and lume paint on the tips of the hands):

Seiko uses their own lume, Lumibrite, and their watches with it glow great. SL is great too, but it depends on how much is applied by the manufacturer to give a good glow.

Currently, my GP Seahawk probably has the best lume in my collection, but that doesn't mean you need to spend a lot of dollars to get great lume. My Deep Blue Master2000 cost $425 and glows nicely, too.

GP Seahawk:

Ball. You can't beat tritium when it comes to lume.

x3

Was thinking the same thing myself. The tritium gas tubes glow very nicely in the dark and don't need to be charged with natural light (from what I understand).

To be honest SuperLuminova is essentially useless for night-time watch viewing.
The longevity of the charge is just too poor to be of significant use.
Tritium tubes is the only type of lume that really wroks.

I've personally never had too many watches with a lot of lume but I must say my SMP has quite a good one. I don't think you can go wrong if you decide to buy an Omega!
