Aquastar Deepstar Geneve 1st Generation
Hi,
This is my 1st post and hope somebody can help. I have been left a watch and have been trying to find out as much info as possible about it. I believe the watch to be a 1st Generation Aquastar Deepstar Geneve 1965? I found one on ebay here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2209453976...9#ht_500wt_969 The watch on ebay looks in poor condition with no strap etc. The watch I have has been sitting in a Jewellary box for years unworn and appears in very good condition and is working correctly and keeping good time. It was passed on to me be my late father. Can someone please tell me if these watches are rare? Also could somebody give me a rough price as to value? I have attached a pic. Any other info would be great. Thanks in advance guys. |

A Google search lists quite a lot of information about this watch.
The scruffy example went for £600 on Ebay. Yours would seemingly go for another 50/100% above this figure. |

Thanks for the reply. Thats good news regarding the value. Are these watches quite rare and I am right in saying it was produced 1965?

Thanks. I had already "Googled" but some threads were old and some Aquastars were of slightly different model, as mine has the constant second hand, the diamond shape near the 9 position.
I was hoping somebody could tell me year of production and I guess with regards to value this has already been answered. I will take care of it and do you think the value will increase in time. I guess it's nearly 50years old as it is. Thanks |

Sorry another question is with regards to a service can anybody recommend anywhere in London in the UK where it wont cost the earth?
Do you know how much a service is likely to cost and how often this should be done. I doubt my watch has ever been serviced and has been sleeping for years. |

I have decided to sell to the right person for the right price. If anybody is interested please contact me. I do not want to post the watch overseas. I will listen to sensible starting offers over £1650. Last year I was offered in excess of this and I declined. The watch is in excellent condition. These watches seem to be highly collectible and look great on the wrist. Willing to sell so please contact if interested. Regards Ian |
