Your last meal :(

A game I play as a way to break silence or strike up conversation is "if you were on death row, what would be your last meal?" Think of all the things you enjoy. At first they look quite puzzled by the question, then intrigued as they think about their response. I will provide my response later.

Thin crust pizza and a jug of chocolate milk to remind me of my childhood (pizza fridays at school with choco milk was the best) and then a keylime pie with a container of Redi-Whip.

Probably spaghetti with meat balls, lots of parmesan cheese and a loaf of freshly baked French bread and butter ! A glass of St. Francis Cabernet finished off with a 3 finger glass of Oban single malt scotch !

Executioner, I am ready

Darn you, Greg, I was just thinking about the "endless buffet" ads I hear on the radio .

It's actually my pick-up line.

Hey honey, I think you look as hot as the 24 oz. steak I'd get as a last meal if I was on death row. Want to go to my place?

Doesn't "Your favorite meal :)" work just as well, without the creepy? I think so.

It would have to involve chocolate, and beyond that I dare not ponder.

I would imagine people would have no appetite knowing death is imminent. Isn't that the reason why many State legislatures have put a cap on the amount of $$ spent on a last meal-- because inmates would order large meals and then not eat them?

I wouldn't want anything. If I'd done something to put myself on death row I'd hate myself anyway... why would I deserve a decent meal?

They recently did that in Texas for that very reason.

Just got a Pizza Hut menu through my door. They have a new hot dog stuffed crust!! Looks quite nice, might choose that. Actually might order that tonight for my tea.

I would say you were probably wrongly convicted Lisa. In that case you deserve a tasty last meal.

I generally try to think positively. And want to be seen as such, not morbid so I'm not sure I would use this as an "ice breaker".

He probably won't actually drink tea with the pizza...

In the UK depending on where you are from and what your background is "tea" can mean dinner and "dinner" can mean lunch... Go figure!

I've never heard that one used but there's probably a little village somewhere where they call it that. You gotta love the English language!?!
