The Day After (the price increase)...who bought?

Okay I know it was a rough day yesterday for many here.

No one likes to hear about another Rolex price increase--but it came and now we deal with it.

So who bought what yesterday before the increase??

I picked up a new 116610V last week when I saw it in the showcase at an AD in Michigan.
The owner of the store offered me a small discount.
With today's $500 price increase, it makes that deal a little better.

Got 3--will be here later today...nothing that I do not already have.

LN, LV, GMTIIc--longer term 'gifts' for the wife (or corp gifts), but get them now.

Will post pics once received.

My AD is a few blocks from my office -- it didn't take me long to get there after hearing about the increase. My 116613LN should be delivered soon! Rolex really knows how to make us jump...

Considered it, but having just picked up my Polar Exp II (42 MM) last week I thought it'd be a little too rash. Plus, I'm torn between a black and green sub.

Todays price increase is tomorrows old price. In two years the price you could get today will be a bargain.

Not me, but that is because I bought a 116613 last week. I got a great deal last week, which turned out to be an even better deal after the price bump.

I did not buy yesterday but picked up a GV and LV last week. After hearing from 3 ADs about June price increase, I took a chance when the right watches and deals were available. Glad I did!

I am going to buy a Sub from one of the re-sellers on here before they jack their prices up on us. Because it would hurt their business to jack up what they already have posted.

No way would I buy Anything just because of a price increase...
Either I want it or I don't and if I want it (Rolex or anything else) I've already bought it.

I just picked up a used GMT 16710 today and I should have it on my doorstep tomorrow. My first Rollie was new and I swore that I would never buy new again.

Rolex Price Increase Rumors, fact or fiction, are always good for their sales as people rush to buy at full retail. I've done it with one of mine. So it goes. Since I became a Rolex fan I must've seen 5 or 6 increases and they never go down, never! On the bright side, it does enhance the future value of your purchase on the resale market should the need arise. Cheers

In negotiations as we speak. Didn't see the sudden price rise coming.
