New Offer, Daytona from Duty Free.
Hi again,
First of all im really sorry everyone for a similar post again but this is the latest offer and I want you guys and gals to help me make my final concrete decision. Right now, my 'everyday wearer' is my SubC Lv, and i found a daytona priced at 10,950 out the door ( ss black dial). However, i would have to sacrifice my Sub C ( priced at 7800). Should i go for it? keep in mind, im planning to wear the daytona everyday. Thank you!!! sorry again |

Is the point of getting this daytona to get it because you like it, or because you think it's a good price? Honestly, there are plenty of daytonas around. There is nothing special about that one at that price. So if you like it, buy it. If you like what you have keep it.
I don't know how anyone here can recommend to you what you will or won't enjoy wearing. |

Sounds fair but we cannot decide what you like the best. If it is an only watch I would say keep the Sub

I would keep the Sub. I have owned both the black and white dial SS Daytona. Only two Rolex I have ever made money on at sale time. However I did sell them. The lack of a date was not for me. They are beautiful though.

I'd keep the Sub LVC over the Daytona.
But that's me

Keep the Submariner.
Save up for a Daytona. By the time you have the cash you'll want something different anyway. |

Speaking as someone who owns two Subs (14060/16610LV) and a SS Daytona (black)
Nooooooooo...........Don't do it, keep the Sub C, save for the Daytona. There will always be another Daytona deal down the road. |

The bad idea is
Asking the forum to help u make a final decision imo!
If you have a daily wearer why do want to sell it for another daily wearer? Are you unhappy with your current watch? What makes you think you'll stop at the Daytona when sometjing else catches your eye? You could always keep what u have and save for the Daytona! |

Daytona is consider top of the line of Rolex watch. Ill go for it. You are upgarding your watch to daytona, not downgrade. And the price is good.

If I were you I'll decide this way. Pretend I don't have either and was in a position to buy only one. Naturally I'll go for the one that I want more. IMO the price of the Daytona or your trade in value is secondary in this situation.

You could flip a NIB daytona here for around $12k, so $10,950 is not a bad price

If I were going with one of those as a daily wearer, I would choose the SubC LV. The PCL's on a Daytona love to get scratched up

Can you live without the date on a daily wearer? That's the only thing that bothers me about the Daytona for daily wear, I like to have the date. The Daytona is an awesome watch though!
