It has to be this or this... Two of my fave daytona dials. Why, because you sure don't see them out in the wild that often.

Head to Head: SD and ND Sub

SD and ND Sub are the Sportiest Rolexes.

Looks: Both look exactly the same. Tie.

Function: SD goes deeper, but both go deeper than a human can. Edge: SD

Durability of the movement: in theory, the SD, with the added date complication, would be more subject to malfunction during the jarring etc of doin' stuff. Edge: ND Sub.

Durability of the case/crystal: The SD is bigger and heavier--so it must be tougher. Edge: SD.

Aerodynamics: ND Sub is a little slimmer with a lower profile, so less likely to drag/snag when swimming, running, racing a sailboat, throwing it at your vanquished opponent, etc. Edge: ND Sub.

At the end, it's a tie. Both are pretty damn cool.

nice "D" pic

any chrono looks sporty imho, with the additional dials outwardly most other watches just look conventional

I gotta say the Submariner is the most iconic sports model to come down the pike.

One of the very few watches that is a legend by itself, and has spawned generations of look-alikes..

Agree with the Sub. My sportiest is the Tudor chrono.

Wear mine all the time. Yes, it's a "sporty" Rolex. Not THE sportiest one - that goes to the Sub (IMHO).

Three good sports

Yay to the sporty Tudors.
Not worn the blue for a while now, ole GMT has muscled his way in somewhat!
Got to agree with most, the submariner has to be the best model ever, and it's my next buy, but hard to find a good original vintage that has not been mucked about with. I will Just have to make the most of my Tudor 7928 sub until the real deal comes along
