What a difference an OEM bracelet makes!

The bracelet for my 6694 arrived today from the UK, and I've just finished sizing and installing it. Here is my 1973 6694 with a 78350 from 1976, with the correct 557 end pieces. It's in terrific condition, and I'm very pleased with the outcome. Enjoy the pics:

Looks very nice. I bet you are excited, as those aren't too easy to find I would suppose

Love it! I am a stickler for minty or NOS bracelets for my vintage Rolex watches.

Thanks, Jason. They are difficult to find in nice condition, without having to pay a fortune. I got lucky, and found one at a reasonable price. ;)

Hi, Eric

Apparently, so am I. It really shows off the watch to its full advantage. I'm waiting on another one from Europe, for my 6565. It's a 7835 with 357 end pieces, which I think is correct. If not, I'll switch out the end pieces. It, too, is in great condition.

Now you have options! The bracelet looks fantastic. But a black or dark brown band will look great too! Just try to avoid the NATO-look with this one (although if you do, we still wanna see!)

Thanks, everyone, for the kind comments. I think the blue/grey dial with the gold markers, which appear more rose than yellow to my eye, IS quite stunning. It amazes me that a watch, from my own salad days, can look this good 40 years after it was produced. BTW, it's running great, after its service, too. The best part, though, is that it's SO ME!

Very cool! My watch's twin! The vintage 34mm Oyster Date is a perfect size for today's woman. The exaggerated taper of the the old 78350 bracelet and the iconic cyclops date window makes it even more suitable for us, IMO. Since this is my very first Rolex, it will remain in the collection, permanently.

KAT

P.S. The magnified date is a necessity for this old Granny's eyes... LOL

Thanks. In my head, I'm still that young girl from the 70's, so this is a fitting first Rolex for me.

If you have to explain what a Rolex is, the ref 6694 is the pefect sinthesis. Simple, clean, elegant. You will like it more and more everyday!
