Does the new Tudo Heritage Line make the vintage Tudor less valuable?

I often wonder if new models make the vintage less valuable. Apparantly, has not happened with Rolexes.

If anything I would imagine the increased interest in the Heritage line would make vintage Tudors more valuable.

+1. I believe it makes people more aware of the vintage stuff, which makes them want it, which drives up prices.

Doubt it, if anything, it would more likely enhance interest in the older versions.

Just my opinion, but I think sales on Vintage MonteCarlos have been soft. Since the THC is readily available I think people are content with it. Just my 2 cents

While i have always been a fan of vintage watches such as RL Bubblebacks i would prefer the new ones if RL starts making them again. New watches are so much better made than vintage versions. Most of my watches are vintage, but servicing them have been a pain and parts are scarce.

Just another point of view.

I closely monitor the Tudor Submariner 7928 model prices ever since I picked up this one a few months ago. The prices on these older, more rare Tudors have been going up, I expect that this will continue...

I think it's propping up the vintage market. A bit sad because Tudor was such a well kept secret 5 years ago.

last summer i bought a decent snowflake head for 1900. now you need at least 2700-3000 for one. these watches were esoteric and the square marks appeared "funny looking" to many. i found them striking! with the new models, it seems to have broadened their appeal and brought them to the forefront

nope, only makes the vintage pieces more desirable and valuable as collectors want both to show the evolution

agreed only increases the value of the vintage. the advisor was easy to find deals on in the past, now with even the flopped thc advisor, the vintage has gone up. additionally when tag heuer came out with the autavia line (the remake of the older heuer ones) the older ones seemed to have an increased desirability and the new ones didn't hold their value that well. Same with the JLC Amvox and memovox, I had an AMVOX1 and sold it, now it went back up a little because they kept coming out with later models.

From what I have seen it usually only tends to increase demand in the originals, but then again watch values are pretty unpredictable, which is why there have so many posts on whether or not they are good investments (not trying to start it again)

the old tudor subs are still quite a fraction of the price of a new one... and i think that vintage look better. i guess i am lucky to view them like this.
