Need some verification TRF members on this SUB
Hello everyone! I saw this listing on my craigslist and wanted to know what you all think. I'm really only into Datejust so don't know much about the sub but I'd be willing to get to know it for this price which sounds too good to be true.
He's willing to meet at an AD. Only problem is he's 3 hours away from me. He's asking 1300 saying he needs money for school. I just emailed him so waiting for reply. Just one pic and I just wanted to get some thoughts before I pursued this. Anything look kind of off to you sub guys? I'll ask for more pics as well. Just noticed I put this probably in the wrong section. I don't know how to or if I'm even able to move. sorry! Last edited by BradTrinh24; 13 August 2012 at 06:45 PM.. Reason: Wrong Section? |

Welcome to the Forum -
If it is too good to be true...as the saying goes... Save yourself a six hour drive. Otherwise you will be dwelling over this on your three hour return trip, wondering why you even drove over... If you want to have some fun, offer him $1,500 and have him drive over to your location. Tell him expenses are paid and meet him at an AD. See if that gets him off his bed... You have nothing to lose! |

Is he is willing to meet at an AD you have nothing to lose.
As long as its an AD of your choosing in your area then go for it. I wouldnt offer him $1500 as its a bit petty and if it is genuine you will then have to pay more than he wants. Its probably not genuine for that price but no loss on your part to go to an AD with him and check. |

If you have him meet you a dealer closer to your home, you won't be out anything if it turns out to be a fake...or stolen.
I wouldn't waste my time (or gas) to meet him at a dealer 3 hours away because chances are, this deal is too good to be true. |

I don't think that watch is real and if it was he could go to any Pawn Shop and get way more than $1,500, so it could be stolen if real or just a fake...

Even from this angle I can tell it's fake. Crown guards are too "fat" for sub and second hand is too short. Don't waste your time.

Figured it was too good to be true : / oh well. He also didn't reply to my email either? I just asked if he still had it. I don't even see a reason why someone would post an ad like that and not even respond. anyways thanks TRF!

That is a bad fake. The surounds scream FAKE!!!!
Good call on the email offers to meet close to home. Just make mention that you are coming with no money. After it is deemed real (or not) then you are going to the bank. I deal on craig's and you have to be wise. Just future reference Happy hunting |
