WATCHOUT for any PMs signed off from "Mark at Blowers Jewellers

We have had several reports of PMs (private message) sent to members listing watches for sale.

This appears to be in response to any wtb threads but may not necessarily be so. They could just be sent randomly. Ath this stage we are not aware of the extent of the spam.

They are being signed off from "blowers jewellers UK".

They have so far come from 4 different usernames:

Blowersjewellers
Blowers-jewellers
IBJ-UK

And the latest:

Ibjfinance

All of these users have been banned from Trf.

However, this source is not giving up.

Please note: We do not know whether these are coming from the actual outfit or not.

What we do know is we have repeatedly banned this activity and they have repeatedly attempted to return sending more PMs.

be aware of any PMs coming from Blowers Jewellers. Report them immediately. You are strongly advised not to correspond or enter into any dealings.

For anyone to believe that Ian Blowers personally would PM them to offer watches is absurd.

Maybe absurd on the context of your knowledge Mon.

However, PMs are being sent as described and members need to be made aware of a potential scam. This is a a well established forum with a huge international member base. Those members may or may not have ever heard of this particular company and upon receiving a PM and looking them up may quite easily engage in a transaction.

As you say it doesn't make sense that Ian would have his company engage in this tactic.

Even more reason to take note of this information and not feel bad if it seems legit to you.

Agree 100%

God knows I tried my best to expose him but he's a clever little bugger.

I at least managed to get his bank account #'s.
