These people who go nuts over all the useless stuff that comes with the watch are the same ones that call "the Watch" the head. It's the watch.

AHA!!! Now I better understand the recent stories about the great Pacific Plastic Garbage Patch - BEZEL PROTECTORS!!!

New study finds plastic garbage in Pacific Ocean increases one hundred-fold

May 10, 2012 – The amount of plastic trash in the “Great Pacific Garbage Patch” has increased 100-fold during the past 40 years, causing “profound” changes to the marine environment, according to a new study. Scientists from the Institute of Oceanography in San Diego found that insects called “sea skaters” were using the trash as a place to lay their eggs in greater numbers than before.

Discarded Rolex Bezel Protectors have been cited as perfect incubators for the little skaters. This, scientists believe, created an irresistible site for the skaters since the bezel protectors resemble tiny skating rinks.

In a paper published by researchers said this would have implications for other animals, the sea skaters’ predators — which include TRF curmudgeons. The scientists also pointed to a previous study that found nine percent of fish had bezel protectors in their stomachs.

A statement by the scientists “documented an alarming amount of Rolex WIS-generated trash, mostly broken down bits of plastic bezel protectors the size of a fingernail floating across thousands of miles of open ocean.”

It's easy (and fun) to make fun, but it's true, it's not really crazy to want your complete set to be 100% complete. It's a collector mentality I often share. Although I don't consider myself a watch collector, as I'm too poor, and have too few watches, all of which I wear and scratch up over time.

But I apologize to the OP for jumping on the humor train, it wasn't really to poke fun at you, rather it's just fun to make fun of ourselves as a semi-sick group of watch nuts. :)

I do get why you'd want a protector, and you have gotten some good leads. (and some humor thrown in, no charge!)

Some people buy a Rolex watch and put it on their wrist leaving box, papers, tags everything in the trash at the "mall". I've seen it done in Las Vegas...and I've heard in some other countries it happens all the time.

To each his own...I like having the tags and boxes so I can see how some could take it even further.

I sell everything on ebay. And as I said above I never even thought to sell these...Live and Learn.

Did you see what they are going for!!!!!!

I bought a few on ebay for my DJII and they are fine, and I agree that most people could care less about the box and papers. I bought my wife a Cartier and she put the watch on and threw out "all the garbage" lol

they make papers for plastic bezel protectors? If you need to protect the bezel, why have it? Wear it. scuff it up, tell the story, fix it. Sell the junk wrecked part on Ebay, Scuff up the new one

I, too, am sorry if my making merry with imono's post and Mickey's was interpreted as jumping on the OP.
Was not my intention - it the WIS I aim for
