The 16622 is no longer listed on the Rolex website (men's section) , just the YMII

This is not true. It is found on the Yacht-Master II page, if you look at "The Models" section. The first 3 models are the 40mm Yacht-Master I (Plat/SS, TT, 18k)

it'll be around for the next 12 months or so, it's never been a hot seller and it'll still be sitting in ADs by 2014/2015...

Do you think this will be the case also with the new ym blue dial?

the new models tend to shift as soon as they're out

BUT

the "new" YM still has the scratch magnet of a platinum bezel and i'm not sure how great the bue dial will look in real life

it does have an upgraded clasp...

The Rolesium model is gorgeous, a niche that unfortunately hasn't caught on in great numbers for some odd reason.

I really like it but won't buy one because others would come first. Maybe that's the ultimate problem.

Got my 116622 the other day got the Platinum dial as i think the blue dial detracts from the classyness of the design though i do admit i like the high contrast of the blue dial but i think the novelty would have worn out over time.

Tried the YM with the blue dial last weekend at an AD and it looks great; changes color with the light. Very tempting to take home with me - too bad the AD I was at goes crazy on pricing.
