There are no more Rolex watches on earth !

Many of you have spent a lot of hard earned money on your Rolex watch(es), or other high end watch(es). Some of your collections look to be valued at over six digits.

So, suppose watches were never invented. Suppose there were NO WATCHES on earth. NONE. What would you spend all of your hard earned (or inherited) money on that you have spent on your watches?

REMEMBER - NO WATCHES ! NONE !

What would you buy instead? What would you COLLECT ? ? ?

PS: Clocks and sun dials do not count as alternative collectibles ! ! !

I'm close to buying my 2nd, so my collection isn't super expensive... for me, I don't really collect anything else so the extra money would be split among my car, house, savings and a couple extra vacations maybe

I said it before.

My dad spent my inheritance on wine women and song.

I decided I didn't want to be like him so I don't sing.

Coins, or jewelry. Something that does not lose value and has universal currency (just like a Rolex!)

i'd probably spend more money on cars and spend more time on the tracks enjoying them

I buy and collect watches because I like them, not to profit off of them
I'm not really expecting much from them in value, as a matter of fact.
I never expected to ever break even on my watches, I always assume I'm going to lose 20-30% from it being used

I'd continue with guitars and such. Before watches, I was spending nothing but money on guitars.

Not interested in collecting anything else, so I guess I would have just lost MORE money in the market and my house...
