At this point any "extra" money just goes into my bank account.

Where would the extra money go? (LOL @ EXTRA MONEY : )

Electronic components and chemistry equipment to build projects and to experiment, as I used to do.

Next off, "bangers" and reloading supplies as I yet do do.

(hehe... I wrote "do do" : )

Valence electron theory, anyone?

Many things to choose from, but no investments for me.
Only things to be creative, have fun with and enjoy.

Maybe I would have paid off my mortgage a few months earlier - but, otherwise, nothing different. Sorry, not much of an answer....

I think that if their were no watches that civilization as we know it would be impossible. Mechanical timekeeping and the eventual miniaturization and mass production of timepieces have made the world as we know it possible and even the ubiquity of clocks has not diminished the value of a fine watch in most of the developed world.

Without the invention of accurate portable timepieces mass transit and communications as we know them would probably have never come about.

Without the invention of the technology that lead to the wristwatch, we'd probably still be living in a feudal system and we'd live hand to mouth within a 25 mile radius of our birthplace.

That being said, if under such conditions I were to have a discretionary income at my age and having long ago given up tobacco and alcohol, I'd probably spend it on erotic etchings.

hmmm this question has been asked before by another member, his version was what if your favourite watch was not available anymore due to disaster.

My answer to both questions is ***********************************

bars of soap. looks like it's a lot of fun!
