Dial replacements on vintage Subs.
I have seen many nice old subs with great cream colored markers, and then I have seen some with what appear to be almost new markers. My question is, when you send in a watch for service, will the RSC replace a vintage dial with a "new" vintage dial? If so, will they send you back the old one so that you can keep it in case you ever want to put it back on?

this is a risk of sending it in. you permanently lose the old dial. get a new dial with less appeal. all for 1200 bucks.

this is the main reason that you should never send a vintage rolex into a rsc unless you dont mind losing important original parts such as the dial, hands, bezel, etc.

Could have been nice looking when these watches had a refinished dial in.
Cheaper option than loosing the genuine one if You prefer a new look. |

If they do replace it (beause you approved the replacement), then they use the latest dial style for the reference.. This is not usually something to do if you have a somewhat rare example. No, they do not send you back your old dial.. (in the US)

I have sent my Matt 16750 to RSC Hong Kong and told them not to change dial, hands, etc.....and they won't. And they do not give you back any parts either....
