As for my thoughts on the matter, TT suits some people, it doesn't suit others. I'm one of the latter, so TT doesn't interest me |

Wes I wouldn't worry too much about some of these ridiculous comments, some of these guys need to get off the computer and get out a bit more !!
I took your comments (as most people did) as a light hearted view. It was quite amusing |

I agree that SS is more popular in the secondary market. I was wondering why for a moment until I had some insight from my AD.
Generally, TT Rolex commands a premium above their SS counterpart due to their gold parts. Functionality of SS Rolex is the same as TT Rolex. He told me that those who decides to buy TT are usually prepared to pay the premium. They usually buy new from AD and do not really mind paying. One interesting thing is that they do not really visit forums and blogs to help them make their decision between TT or SS. Whether or not they are prefered or not, they are all good watches and were once loved by their first owner. As for the secondary market, I heard that some TT does better than SS versions especially TT-GMT and TT Jubilee DJ. |

TT watches are beautiful. I personally think they are very elegant yet sporty at the same . When I think of a Rolex, I think of a TT Datejust.

IMHO. Like any fashion. SS for today's trend (may be) then TT's trend will come back in the future while SS will look dated. Just enjoy whichever you have for a long time. One day your watch will be on the center stage. P.S Yes, Gold does chose people. Not for everyone in every aspects

Personally I like SS, white gold, or plat. I can never see myself buying a TT or a full yellow gold watch. It is also from my opinion a little to flashy for me.
With that said, if I ever had to get a yellow gold watch I would choose a full yellow gold over a TT. Just my opinion.

For me, TT only rocks in the bluesy (i think it's 16613). That is just an amazing piece. Aside from that I'm a SS guy.

I personally like the TT. I think it is a very classy looking watch.

Not only Tony Soprano and Elle Macpherson can pull off a full gold watch with gold bracelet. Clay Morrow from Sons of Anarchy can also pull off that look.

SS is for people that can't pull off the TT because they look like they don't deserve to have on a Rolex.

If you like a YG, TT or SS Rolex buy one or one of each! I think they are all great watches and wear very well for all occasions!
IMHO - Not dated/cheap/80’s/Sopranos/etc.

"Two-tone watches were big in the go-go ’80s, but guess what? they’re back. These double-act steel and class designs in classic silver, rose red and burnished gold make any wrist worth a second glance." http://www.gq.com.au/style/watches/s...+watches,17391 If you have the style and confidence, you can pull off anything, anytime, any place...(similar concept to the Mystery Method as a pick up artist wearing an outrageous hat in a social setting). |
