Strange looking Rolex
Hey, I can't find a picture of the watch I saw today....but am curious if anyone knows the model.
I was in line at Target and the woman in front of me had a really odd looking band on what looked like a datejust or day date. So I asked her if I could see her watch. Since I am female and had on a Rolex, I was suprised that she showed me but put her hand on the watch like I was going to steal it. I love watches, so I was a bit suprised. I didn't get a great look because she was kind of moving away and saying the watch was her fathers and he died at 80 and it was her inheritance. It looked like a datejust or day date with a diamond bezel and black face. The band was a two tone, flat band, flatter than an oyster band, almost polished smooth. The pattern of the two tone band was like a jubilee bracelet, but flat links. I know it is hard with just an explanation, but I am curious and I looked through hundreds of google pictures and can't find anything that looked like it. She just kept saying it was an antique and very old. I was really suprised that she looked afraid because I asked about the watch. I live in a small town and everyone is really friendly. I am sure the watch was real....she had on a stunning 4 or 5 K tennis bracelet and a really nice LV purse. The whole episode was really weird.

That would make sense, given the description.

Thanks everyone....it was a really weird exchange, but I am a curious person and will probably ask again if I see an interesting watch.

Yep, I do this too. Youd be surprised how many good conversations you can have. Good to see you still posting.
