BTW:

Incredibly SLOPPY that the first GMT IIc's came with the OLD booklet, isn't it??

It is like those SUBMARINER anchors that - in the beginning - came with the SEA-DWELLER! A lot of time went before the SD anchors were issued, and now neither of the anchors are supplied anymore.

One should think that when Rolex goes to the lenght to introduce a NEW model GMT II including a NEW movt., it should not be so difficult to be a bit ahead of time and also make sure that the NEW booklet is included.

Bo you are right that they know that they are about to launch a new watch so why not get the correct literature ready for release date?
I have seen this so often with prestige car manufacturers (MB, Land Rover, Porsche) who launch cars and cannot supply mats and mudflaps at the time of launch
Piss Poor Planning.

As an update on the GMT IIC that goes with this booklet. Here are the polished center links after 3 months and over 20,000 miles of travel on three continents in some of the harshest land environments on earth.

Thanks for the info, I am happy that someone else is hard on their Rolex too. I was thinking it was just me. My band on my SD looks just as worn. Good for you your are using it for what it was ment for life.

I called the NY Affiliate to ask if they had the new book. They told me if I faxed them my warrantee card they would mail me the book.

As it turned out, I traveled to NY...stopped in and they gave me the new book on the spot.

What to do with the old book???

Mine came with old booklet. Called Rolex NY for a new booklet and got the new one 2 days later. No proof of ownership needed.
