Yeah, your tellin me. I can't believe I actually spent money to have it wrapped and then completely unwrap it just hours later. However the wrapping place at the mall is a holiday based kiosk so all the money goes to charity. So that was good.

I like how at certain angles to the light, you get that bright lime green around the edges of the romans.

My Rolex watches get exposed to salt water on almost a daily basis and have been for years no trouble at all. You will want to use some veraet watch spray to clean it to get the salt residue off.

ha, yes thanks. i was kidding.

clearly it will be find in all conditions.

Il like a lot this dial, congrats on the watch.

Talking about the beach, although I am sure the DJII will handle that no problem, I wonder why you don't take your DSSD there... that one is water resistant if I am not mistaken...

As much as I love my DeepSea it is quite heavier than my GMT 2 C and this DJ2, but I have worn in to the beach before. And still will. But I like to alternate as I usually take multiple watches with me on vacation. I have insurance on all my watches ( this one shortly), so it protects against loss and theft as well as a few other things.

Hi,
Please don't take this the wrong way, but did you buy your DJ2 from a Rolex AD? The reason I ask is that I have seen that dial many times in person. Every one I have seen in person and every picture has had the Romans stenciled/painted on the dial. They are black with a thin green border. They appear green form a distance, though. Your Romans seem to be solid green and applied, i.e., they are raised in relief, the way Rolex does gold indices - at least in your pictures. If you bought this from a Rolex AD then this is obviously a new way of doing the Romans on that dial, i.e., applied solid green. But I worry that if you bought it elsewhere you may have inadvertently bought a replica. Or, I am just being "fooled" by pictures, lighting and computer viewing!
Thanks.
Joel

Congratulations! The dial you got there is my favorite of the tt datejust II choices!

I am a person who likes to wear my watches to what ever I be doing, and that means they will get some scratches here and there. So if it was me I would swim with it in saltwater without even thinking about it. BUT just remember to wash it in fresh water wean you get home. Because steel does not like saltwater in the long run.

I did purchase it from my local AD, of which I did just call to ask about it. They had another one in the store and she said that the one she was holding was different than the others that she has seen. So I am a bit baffled by this. I talked to the lady who helped me make the purchase. They both are the same, since they came in together. In this I have posted a pic of a Rolex Datejust 2 for sale that I snap shotted from one of the threads on this forum a while back. It does clearly have the Romans raised. LOOK AT THE 7 O'CLOCK MARKER

Well since you bought it from an AD I assume it's a new variation of the dial.

All the best.

I really don't get it myself. The one just pictured an hour or so ago was for sale on the forum, and it clearly has raised hour markers since you can see the glare coming off one of the side. So I really don't know what they have done. I have looked at many pics of both after googling it just now. So it's definitely quite interesting.
