ok guys, here is a great idea, I have been doing this for many years. the best way to clean is to get your old & used toothbrush to clean your watch. This is how you do it , get your watch & use very soapy water & use the tooth brush to clean between everything then rinse with water you will be IN SHOCK how great it looks and if you have diamonds it's even better!!! Ready for this if you really want to go all the way then use Windex the same way, you will be in AMAZEMENT how it cleans up. Remember there is lots of dirt between the cracks of your watch . Please let me know how things turned out .

Yes it does Qtip's work well after drying it. It helps with the finishing touch .

I give the watch a soak in soapy water for about 15 minutes, then give it a good brushing with an old soft toothbrush, rinse and dry.

Does a great job and about once per week does the trick.

Trust me. If you wear a watch, it gets dirty.

After awhile, dirt, perspiration, dead skin cells, and oils will build up and the longer you wait the more difficult it is to get it all out.

Watchmakers and technicians call this "body cheese."

A little preventive maintenance is a good thing.

My Rolex has its very own designated toothbrush. Green, of course. I use a soft bristled brush and with some warm soapy water it looks great after its weekly bath.

A lot of guys here use a toothbrush but seeing as we're talking about a $10k watch I wouldn't go with an old, used one. Any toothpaste remaining in the brush is abrasive. For the investment you have in the time piece a couple of bucks for a brand new, clean soft bristle children's tooth brush is worth it.

I'm concerned about even a soft bristle brush on gold and TT as well. For my TT I just give it a quick rinse when done wearing it and dirt and gunk never have a chance to build up on it.
