Looking to buy this. Worth the price and is it real?

I'm new to Rolex entirely so take it easy on me. Thanks for any advice! |

As a longtime ebayer - I never like it when the seller refuses to tell me where in the world the merchandise is. I'd be careful

only promising thing is that he has almost 2,000 positive feedbacks. It is weird that nowhere in the description does it say its "100% authentic"

its a oyster perpetual with a refinished dial to make it look like an explorer as they fetch a far better price model 1002

First clue $1750!! You are not going to get an Explorer for this price. Especially from a seller with more than 2000 sales.
1002 is an Oyster Perpetual just run the number on ebay and see what they look like. Same size same movement BUT different dial. and value! I love the Explorer 1 but 6k and up. I actually bought a new 39mm Explorer for less but still it is not a 1016. That is what you want 36mm and not an easy copy. 5500 Explorers are easy to swap dials but the dead give away is the case that reads other than 5500 or 55xx something Airkings have a 5500 case too. So now the watch has to have a back that reads 5500 too! The Airking has a 1002 case back. So look careful in your search The 34mm Explorer is touchy thing. Good luck and nice taste! Love the Explorer! |
