Why so hard to find?
I can find all the other colors but not this blue. Was this a limited release?

It is no longer offered since 2010 and G serial numbers - it is gone from the 2011 dials catalog.
But they are sold here and on eBay and other watch vendors on a regular basis - some BNIB as NOS.

its striking , but i do wish they would put the numbers the right way up when you look at it on your wrist ,, simple pilot style ,,, but the colours are catchy.

It was t really limited but unpopular. It lasted on until 2010ish but can still be found new at some ADs. Saw one in my travels not long ago

I think the blue/orange and the silver/orange were great additions to the line. I felt it was a step in a more modern direction for the typically conservative AK. The only downside to the orange dials was the fact neither had lume anywhere including the hands. In pilot speak, it was a true VFR day flier

I'm pretty sure one of the ADs in my neck of the woods had one recently.

My AD was showing it to me the other day when I was shopping for jewelry for my wife. Unless he sold it in the past few days it's in his display case. I'm sure they are still available.
