Overhaulin'

My 16610 is a D series from 2006. It shares wrist time with TT blue dial. For almost a year I could feel the rotor grinding inside from being too dry. I was pretty sure it needed work, but just avoided sending it in. The in-laws have a dealer just down the road. I decided to take it in over the holidays. They have a Rolex watchmaker in house. 27 days from when I dropped it off, it's back on my wrist. Man did I miss it!

Fortunately the overhaul cost was very reasonable. And, no parts needed. I was shocked since I knew it needed work so badly! I forgot what a clean, freshly polished Rolex looks like. Awesome!

For a YEAR the rotor "ground"?
I would be seriously concerned if "NO PARTS" were needed...
Not even a the stem, gaskets nothing??? Its 7 years old...

"a dealer just down the road"...
"cost very reasonable"...

Good Luck.

Wow, that's for the vote of confidence guys. Maybe I forgot to mention the one year warranty and authorized dealer. Didn't realize AD's weren't allowed to be down the road.

Sorry I guess I typed what I was thinking w/ out any concern to how it "sounded"...but
I just went by what you said.
  • rotor was grinding for a year prior
  • Guy Down the road
  • reasonable overhaul
  • no parts replaced

All sound like an "oil and regulate" which scares most of us.

Now you say it was an "Authorized Dealer"...and heck maybe your "reasonable" is actually $600 bucks???
