Can I use the Rolex 2100 tool to alter my Sub LV bracelet?

Hi, I see that the 2100 tool can be used to alter the Seadweller bracelet. Can it be used to alter the bracelet of my new Sub LV?

Do the screws in the Sub bracelets have any type of loctite material fresh from the factory.
I have got one of the 2100 tools coming which should fit the screws perfectly. On the other hand I need to know what I am up against.
Does anyone have any tips for altering the bracelet size successfully who has had a go themselves?

Yes. Rolex uses a type of locktite--it will look white on the screw when you remove a link. I would remove a link from the 12 o'clock side if it were me. Your clasp should remain centered then. Fine adjustment can be done on the clasp. (I use a toothpick).

Yes, the SD tool set works with ALL Sport's Rolex models, but not on bracelets like the Jubilee and President since the screw heads are too small for the screwdriver provided in the SD tool set.

Thank you for all your information.
Is much force needed to undo the screws on the bracelet? I am OK with tools as I do lots of DIY, build computers etc so the concept of undoing the screws carefully is second nature to me. I will be waiting until my 2100 tool arrives before I tackle the job.

It's not so much the force, but the way you do it.

First off, place a small piece of cello tape over the screw head.

Next, insert the screwdriver through the tape and into the head. This way you cannot scratch the link in case the screwdriver slips.

Now apply a DOWNWARD force with your index finger and turn counter-clockwise until you feel the screw beginning to move. The scrwedriver is knurled and gives a good grip.

Later on, after the job is all done, you can peel off the excess cello tape.
