Practical classic... 5513 the best choice?

I'm drafting a 10 top practical classics list story.

My Rolex call is likely to be a 5513 submariner, but what other references should make the grade?

They have to be reasonably available and for $5k or less, but still tasty enough to be aspirational. What's the right flavoured GMT to go in this bracket.

I've asked in the past, but damned if I can find the thread.

Happy May Day.

Stuart

I think there must be a Tudor in the list. How about a Big Block 79170?

I like the 5513 on the list. But IMO the Snowflake is got to be on the there.

In addition to a 5513 or 5512, a Pepsi 1675, for sure. Also, how about a vintage Datejust? Best bang for your buck vintage Rolex out there, IMHO. Classic and classy, with the acrylic warmth of a vintage watch, in the $2K range for a nice example. What's not to love?!

Nice ideas. The snowflakes look great. I have a habit of forgetting about datejusts as I'm not a big fan, but you guys are right, they need a look in. They are, ahem, timeless and really accessible price wise. Thanks folks. Keep 'em coming.
