The Duke of Lancasters Regiment just had a homecoming parade near us... Well advertised, very public, no way to make it "secure". Of course thankfully it all went off well but it would have been a very soft target.

By the same token I've often been within arms length of members of the Royal family. Should they stop going out in public? Obviously their CP Officers would have been there but I doubt they could have done much to stop an attack if the perpetrator had no though for there own safety.

I don't have any of the answers but this has to stop. The "power" of terrorism is that a tiny number of people can influence the whole county through the threat of what they might do.

Worldweary as I am I didn't think there was much left that could shock me but this really has rocked me.

Just wait until "they" get their hands on a nuclear or dirty bomb. It will happen in the future.

This is just shocking. It reminds me of the Boston bombing recently. It is alarming and discouraging that these people are out there. I think it's important to remember that for every 1 evil person like this, there are 100,000 people who just want to be peaceful, love their families, and go to work everyday. It would be nice if everyone could be that way, but unfortunately that's not how it is. Terrible.

A classic case of "Biting the hand, that feeds you". These terrorists immigrated to greener pastures in the West from their war-torn famine infested homeland and yet they repay the act of kindness given to them by killing the citizens of their host country.

I am an immigrant myself here in the US. I am grateful that I came here to legally work and earn a decent living.

These islamic terrorists came to London as refugees seeking asylum. Then they repay the good citizens of London with Terror, same goes to the Immigrant Boston Bombers.

If only they stayed in their homeland, I bet these Islamic immigrants would die of Famine in Nigeria while the Boston bombers would die of bombs from the Russian military in Chechnya. Too bad, the US and London help the wrong ingrates. End of rant.

I believe you may find they were 'home-grown' which is even worse.
