When did everyone start using photobucket?

Getting redirected all of the time sort of kills the fun of cruising the classifieds...........

I find this to be a weird question, as I've been using Photobucket for years and can remember when it was basically a family-operated site.

It was bought out a few years ago and may have changed hands since then.

Anyway, some of the links changed in function awhile back and some of those links refer back to the site.

We discussed this recently and I clicked whatever box there is to prevent the confusion and now all is well, mostly.

Seriously people.
Find the image URL and put it between these

That’s all you have to do!

Once I figured out how to attach images directly to my post by uploading them to TRF, I stopped using PB.
PB's new layout really sucks too. Not a fan at all.

Photobucket is easy, I think some folks are pressing the wrong link and that causes redirection.

Hit the direct button, it copies, hit the image link button on TRF, hit paste, done, easy peasy.

man, the question brought back some memories

I started using photobucket when I was a freshmen in high school. The only reason why I got a photobucket was because I wanted to post pics on my MySpace account

now, I only use it for TRF's watch pics

I posted this sometime ago, photo bucket changed the settings, if the original poster hasn't changed their settings as I illustrate below, anyone clicking on that photo will be redirected back to the OP"s album.

I've taken a couple of screenshots;

On the right hand side there is an option for "Update link options", click on this. (Its in blue above the media info)

See right at the bottom it says "Link back to album" un tick this.

Hope this helps fellas.

Am I right that there's no issue as long as you don't click the post's image?

Or is it just posting the direct URL to the pics that is bothering folks?

You can go to your account settings and disable the redirect function altogether and that is the easiest fix of all.
