Icon20 Which Rolex gets the most complements/attention (post pictures)

Post pictures and wrist shots of the Rolex you have that gets the most complements/attention!

Also, what type of people generally give the complements- men? women? both sexes?

I don't receive compliments nor wear it to be an attention getter. Just the way I like it.

Only get comments off AD's when I go looking. Nobody else is bothered about our watches

My Bluesy gets the attention because of the vibrant blue color. Most end up saying that is a nice dial color and then later find out that it's a Rolex.

Since 1992 the only comment has come from another Rolex wearer and that's just the way I want it. If I wanted attention I'd get a Uboat or a Hublot and hang it on the wall when I wasn't wearing it.

A couple of people noticed the bi-color bezel of my old GMT. One or two people noted the sparkle of the Yachtmaster platinum dial in bright sunlight. The most noticed watch I ever owned, by far, was a panda black subdial Breitling Navitimer Heritage.

Oh, and to answer the rest of your question, men looked at the Rolex. Women liked the Navi

A few female friends have tried on my subc and were quite shocked at how beautiful it was with the ceramic bezel, maxi dial and the heftier feel of the bracelet and clasp. They knew the Rolex name but after wearing it they could see there was substance to the watch as well and that maybe I wasn't so crazy after all. Anyway they all bought me dinner afterwards...

I have a SS SubC - got it a few months ago - I've had about 4 people say something so far. 2 knew watches - "hey - nice sub" other 2 were curious "hey - is that a rolex?"

Very happy with my Explorer I, which seems to have a permanent "stealth" mode setting. No comments from any other than AD's, which is as I like it.

I should mention, in the spirit of the original post, I think the steel and gold blue Sub is one of the best Rolex attention-getters. A good friend has one, and it is commented upon all the time.

One other comment. Having been at the NYC Rolex store this week, it became abundantly apparent to me that a majority of people are buying Rolex as something of a fashion accessory. Nothing at all wrong with that--a legitimate reason for brand interest, which Rolex itself most certainly plays into and advocates.

I don't have the "bluesy" TT Blue Sub but I bestow compliments to the owner whenever I see one. It is the watch that made me love Rolexes.

My 116610 LV Hulk has in fact garnered a few comments. All have been from woman. One of them used to sell Rolex at an AD, but quit in 2008 and had never seen a Ceramic Sub at all. She is in love with it. Another just said "I like your watch...what kind is it?" Usually guys will look, but not comment. They tend to just give silent respect!

Maybe 2 compliment on a tt dj I used to own men and women

1 compliment on a SD from coworker (he was into scuba) but was surprised to find out it was a Rolex

Nothing in the past 10 years - every ss sport model and dj ii

Out of all the Rollies I have owned over the years this one in my collection gets the most attention! I have even got free desserts at fine restaurants served by the owners! No joke! Most of the time they will comment on the watch and say how amazing it is! Never have I got this amount of attention with any other watch I have owned...NEVER! Almost too much attention. Sorta like driving around in a Ferrari 458 Italia in Fly Yellow! I have caught people just staring at in public when wearing it...it's like GOLD FEVER! I must say ...it's really breath taking!

The most attention getting has to be a TT or full gold versions ... the gold reflects light lie nothing else, if it is nice and polished...
