Need help buying first ROLEX!
So been shopping around all day went to numerous jewelers. Stumbled across this beauty. Not 100% sure if its real. It feels right and looks right from what i can tell but looking some expert advice. (No i didnt ask or take off the band to see the serial #) But was wanting to see if you all could tell. Price was $3900 is this a good deal, bad deal, or to good to be true deal?
It was a ma and pa style jewelry story and the lady couldnt tell me alot about it which makes me question if i even want to buy it from there. IDK maybe i am just worried about dropping so much money and i dont want to be scammed. I know there are alot of good fakers out there. Here is a pic hope this helps Yes i know skinny wrist i am a little guy |

Buy the seller first.
And have the watch authenticated by an AD or watchmaker before buying. If all is OK, the price is good.

Pics look legit. Fakes are usually pretty easy to spot. A couple big tell tale signs r the font of the A in submariner the cyclops and the crown guards to name a few. Anyway the sub in you're pics looks legit. As said above buy the seller!

Keep in mind depending on it's age that it might be due for a service at 400-600 dollars. Also after you have an AD authenticate it will need to be pressure tested. Let us know how you make out.

Get a receipt for Genuine Rolex etc...pay buy credit card...have it checked same day and if by any chance not legit and they dont refund - contact your card company and stop payment as a fraud.
Long winded but it would work. |

Why in earth are you considering buying from a jeweler you don't trust?
Since you are new to the brand why not go somewhere reputable off the bat? You could also spent time here learning and ten go shop at alternative outlets if you must. Good luck. |

At that price they may not have the boxes or papers, but if they do it will help you later on if you sell/trade it.

The watch in the picture looks good to me, but I would also be reluctant to purchase from a jeweler whom I didn't know well enough to trust.
Pictures don't always tell the whole story.

If it is a legitimate business you shouldn't have any issues.. It is a crime to sell fakes and no legitimate business is going to knowingly risk their business license for a few hundred bucks.
The price is good as the watch looks to be less than a decade old. Don't expect to have any original paperwork with a watch from a used Jeweler; it is very uncommon. They should, of course, provide a proper invoice and return policy should you find it not as advertised later..

For a 16610, under 4k is pretty decent deal, buy seller as other folks said. Good luck with your first rolex purchase.

Go to an AD, or ask them to meet you at an AD in your neck of the woods.
