Hi All from Manchester, UK
Hi
Just joined up here a few days ago and thought it about time I said hello. I'm currently on the verge of buying my first Rolex having been mainly into Omega's before. I'm planning on picking up a new DSSD this weekend (hopefully before a price increase I keep hearing about). I've tried the same one on a few times at my local A.D and I've finally decided to stop messing around and pull the trigger. The only slight concern I have is my A.D only have 1 in stock and that's the one that's in the window. Would anyone here be bothered by that? would you try other places nearby to see if they have 1 in the back? I kinda feel like I'm being a pit picky not wanting a watch that's been moved in and out of the cabinet loads of times but on the other hand if I'm spending the thick end of 8k maybe I should be that picky...... Any thoughts? Dave |

Welcome to TRF!
When you spend a lot of money to buy a dream watch, there is nothing wrong in waiting a bit longer or being picky! Good luck! |

Welcome to TRF Dave, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.
And I do think a DSSD is perfect as a first Rolex good choice |

As long as the watch is on a metal bracelet it is fine. Leather can discolour when it is in the sun in the window. Just check it for scratches and if there are none you are ready to go.
Oh and by the way, welcome!

Welcome and I'd have no worries about its prior shelf life - negotiate a good deal and enjoy it!

Welcome to the group. Personally, I would not want a watch that's been kicking around as a demo model.

Hi Dave - great picture mate.
Where did you get it from pal? Did they have a good selection of the other ref's in the store? In the midst of saving for my first Rolex and would like to see them side by side. |
