Rolex BLNR "the bruiser" sales question.....
For the most part I have stuck to the 47mm watches but in recent months I purchased a Rolex DSSD on a whim and fell in love with the size and fits well with anything I wear so I began thinking maybe I could go with a smaller watch. I saw the BLNR nicknamed "the bruiser" at my local AD. I began to call all AD and not a single discount. So my question is if that is so why do I see so many turning up on the sales forums on various watch sites? I'd really like to have this model but I'm not paying sticker for any watch. I can only assume either there is no discount and folks used credit to buy them and are selling them online and using funds for another piece or there is a discount and I haven't found it yet. What do you guys think???

No discounts are to had on that bad boy, especially from an AD. I've only known of one person from what I can tell on the web that used a cc, but that was on a whim and he did get a great discount at an international airport.
All the people you see really did buy it as they can afford it and have no problem paying it's price, I wouldn't either if I liked it. Then of course some trade and flip watches to buy it but the value of the BLNR is still retail. It's a hot watch watch right now and scarce in some areas, one of the best sports watches Rolex makes....so if you wanna play you're gonna have to pay. (At least for a year or so) |

We BOTH knew that if I did not buy this watch at full retail, someone else would. Probably within an hour or two. Capitalism 101. Supply vs demand. If you want a discount, keep searching for a used one as they do show up from time to time. Or just wait a year when the newness burns off. To soften the blow, the AD did throw in about $200 of goodies to take home. NO REGRETS! |

My local dealer always offers 18% off anything I want, but I spent ridiculous money there. I still buy most stuff elsewhere usually, because I can get better discounts than that on most watches if I spend the time looking...

Would agree - over time, there can be little doubt that this will be available with some degree of discount. I would think that most ADs need to keep cash flowing and their stock moving. As someone else in this thread has stated, there are plenty of these in circulation!

They're not coming in to my AD very quick, so far they have only had one and it was for someone who was #1 on the waiting list and must have spent even more than the insane money I have spent there. I did get to try that one on and boy I loved it. It seems like the TRF trusted sellers here are now offering small discounts.
