why I am so interested in the accuracy (or you might say that is repeatibility), because the GMTII can only be adjusted the date by turning the hour hand (at Position 2) clockwise only. In the meanwhile, your minute and second hands will be keep running to maintain your watch time when you are changing the date. That is a good feature of GMTII or EXP II (the both use the 3185 or 3186 movements).

Speaking of accuracy, my EXPII which I bought last year (around March) have been running quicker than it should. I actually held back from having it regulated as I wanted to give it ample time to "run in".
Well, last time I synched it with accurist website (and a TAG quartz) was 02/01/08 and as of yesterday the EXPII was quicker by 8 minutes or so, whilst the TAG was off by a couple of seconds or so. So I decided to bring it in to the RSC. The lady behind the counter took it to their technician to be tested and after 15 minutes or so came back out to tell me that the watch was "magnetized" and asked me if I worked long hours in front of the computer (which was quite the case). She told me they have demagnetised (at no charge) it and it should be running okay. Will let you guys know how it goes after this. |
