Cyclops on a Pelagos would be nice in my opinion
Hey gang,
Just my thoughts but a cyclops on the Pelagos would ad that extra kick to push her over the top! What do you all think? HAGWE! Thanks to all you Veterans for my freedom! I am one that appreciates all that you do and have done for me! Tom |

I would prefer a cyclops if I were to buy a Pelagos. Helps these old eyes see the date....

I think it would look good and give it a Rolex vibe ...perhaps not what Rolex wants to do!

I think the idea is a good one, I don't mind the cyclops so much now cause it really does help me see the date better. But I don't think Rolex would do it. ;-)

I think anyone older than 50 would like a cyclops on just about anything... Can I put a cyclops on my checkbook?

While this might sound good in theory, it actually looks horrible.
These are not my pics, by the way. They're from this thread. |

Imho the cyclops itself looks fine, but the date font would need to be smaller/less bold to work properly with the cyclops

Nah, like it as it is. They designed the date window with the little marker to it's right to match the 9 o'clock marker. At least that what it looks like to me.

I think the cyclops looks good on the Pelagos. But then I've been known to add a cyclops where there never was.

Not my watch or pics. I copied them from this thread. However, I did have Rik Dietel install a cyclops on my Heritage Chrono. Now that is a watch where the cyclops looks great!

Nice pic Wes - demonstrates what a supremely legible watch the Pelagos is

Love the cyclops, always rooted for him in those Jason & the Golden Fleece films

I'd leave it alone, it looks good without it.
I am not the world's biggest cyclops fan but if I had to have it, I want it on a Rolex and nothing else. It's such a trademark design that a cyclops on anything else just makes that watch look like it's trying to look like a Rolex.

One of the best features of the Pelagos is its lack of a cyclops :)

Cyclops on a watch can be hit and miss… In the case of the Pelagos, it is a miss (imho).

This is what makes this forum so great. Nice opinions all! Thanks. No one slams the other and says stink about the other person and their views.
Wonderful forum to debate and discuss. As we have all mentioned to each his own. Some will like the Cyclops and others can do without. Have a great day members and friends! Tom |
