Sky Dweller bug continues !!!!

Hey guys hope your having a good week. As you know I have it bad with regards to the WG Sky Dweller bug once more to the point I am seriously considering pulling the trigger.

I currently have the WG Sub, GMT Master II SS/Gold and the lovely Hulk. Initially I was contemplating trying to sell the WG Sub and GMT II plus cash to purchase the WG SkyD but I think I would miss the WG Sub way too much to the point I would probably try and buy another over time. My latest option is maybe getting rid of the GMT Master II and Hulk plus abit more cash to fund this illness which would leave me 2 amazing WG pieces the SkyD and WG Sub !!!!

I live in Dubai and I have been offered the WG SkyD for around $35300 USD brand new. Is that a good price for the SkyD or do you think it could be had for lower if I wait a little while???

I am currently in Hong Kong again and as usual having an Rolex AD next to my hotel is not a good idea. Enjoy the pics.

It would be a nice combo, but you are losing some of the diversity your collection currently has (WG, TT, SS).

I am not too familiar with the price of the SkyDweller, so I'll let others chime in on that. It doesn't seem unreasonable, and perhaps you can negotiate a bit lower.

I would keep the WG sub and add the chocolate Sky Dweller, a better balanced pairing.

I would do the GMT + Hulk + Cash for the WG SkyD. I would also consider eventually doing a WG Sub for a YG GMT to have a little diversity.

My 2 cents.

Like you I love both the WG SubC and the WG Sky-Dweller but there's no room for both in my collection. It's one or the other and the SkD wins out here but not by much.

So I would trade in the Smurf SubC and this still leaves with two great references left in the LVc and the tt GMTIIc. Three are better than two in this case, imho.

Good luck and I feel your pain....

Get rid of the gmt and Green sub. Get the wgsd. Wg sub and wgsd sounds pretty awesome to me.

Thanks guys to be honest I dont want more than 3 watches and prefer to have 2 awesome watches such as the WG Sub and WG SkyD.. I just feel they both look amazing and breathtaking when on the wrist and the more watches I have the less I kinda enjoy them if that makes sense.. Even after nearly a year with WG Sub I still keep looking at it when on my wrist and it takes leaving it at home on this trip and seeing a WG Sub at Rolex to realise what a great watch that is and how much I miss leaving it behind....

The RG SkyD is gorgeous. I was kind of disappointed when I tried the WG SkyD.

The RG one is lovely but I would never spend that kinda of money for a watch on a strap, put a RG bracelet on it and that would be some watch... WG SkyD is defo my favorite though, love that Champagne dial and weight of the watch. Nothing POPS quite like the WG Sub though

Well the best price I come across from a NON Rolex AD was around $41K USD and around $46.5K USD from Rolex AD for the WG SkyD.

USD 35300 is approx £ 22000 and MSRP for the WG Sky Dweller in the UK is £ 32700.You are getting approximately 1/3 off from the MSRP if you can get it for USD 35300

I think 35000 usd is good price. I saw one on the forum for 37000 and my AD wants 41000.

You really have it bad for the Sky Dweller don't you!

I think doing the flip plus cash that nets you the WG Sky Dweller and the WG Sub is the way to go based on everything you've said.

Diversity in a collection (by keeping your GMT and Hulk) only goes so far if you don't actually wear them all.

Keep us posted.

personally, i wouldn't give up the YG GMT (favorite all YG) + LVc (favorite SS sports watch) for WG SkyD, but, if that's what you "need" for a bit of "watch peace", why not? seems like a good price for the SkyD. FWIW, i personally prefer the RG/strap option for that model.

Agree! Love the RG one too. The only one I don't care for at all is the YG one...sorry. The WG Sub/WG SkyD would make one heck of a WG Rolex pair!

I like your conclusion of the WG sub and WG sky dweller. 35 I think is a very good price. Go for it.

Personally it would trade the GMT and LV and some cash, acquire the WG Sky dweller and keep the WG sub,

Hey guys after some serious thinking since I got back from HK I have decided to trade my GMT Master II and Green Sub plus cash for the WG SkyD. I love those watches but feel I dont enjoy them as much having 3 Rolex watches to rotate when out.

I think the thought of owning 2 amazing watches such as the WG Sub and WG SkyD and enjoying them appeals to me. They are two amazing but different looking watches which I will rotate when I go out and wear my Speedy pro for work. Also eventually I will pull the trigger on a Pepsi which I can rotate with my Speedy pro at work when crossing many time zones..

Any suggestions on best way to sell my GMT Master and Hulk and get good price for them?
