Audemars Piguet, Patek, IWC and Rolex are the only brands that excite me.

Rolex is the king in my collection (4 of them). Two Tudors. I also have a Breitling (soon to be sold), an Omega (for sale currently), and several niche divers that I love (Clerc, Aquadive, Longines, Zixen).

Besides Rolex, Vacheron. The "other two" do nothing for me.
I like what Chopard is doing with their LUC line.
JLC is timeless.

I just purchased a BALL Engineer II Red Label 40mm COSC. The primary reason was LUME! Tritium tubes, IMHO, beat Super Luminova hands down. I don't want to have to expose my watch to light in order to be able to see it in darkness.

The BALL shows the day of the week, as well as the date. It even has lume on the second hand. All of this for $2500 out the door from an AD.

Currently have:

JLC
Omega
Baume & Mercier

On my radar:

Rolex (for my wife)

On my (dream) radar:

FP Journe Chronometre Bleu
VC Historique 1955
PP World Timer

While there are certain brands I generally appreciate more than others, I tend to be less caught up in the overall brand and more focused on specific designs/movements that speak to me. For example, I'd say my favorite brand is JLC, mainly due to their in-house manufacture and certain iconic models/lines. I agree with the notion that they are the "watchmaker's watchmaker." The Reversos and many of the Master/Ultrathin models are fairly iconic and pure expressions of the watchmaker's art.

But, as much as I respect them, I do question many of their design choices in the sportier lines and certain other of their models. And I do wish their movements were finished to a slightly higher standard (although it is perhaps because of the lack of excessive embellishment/finishing of the movements that I was able to afford a perpetual ultrathin).

Frankly, certain other brands/models do nothing for me. AP is rightly respected as a haute horologie brand, but I've never understood the appeal of the Royal Oak. But different horses for different courses.

Just bought my first Rolex 2 months ago and since then have purchased a Tudor BB and an Omega Speedmaster. Also own a Tag and Raymond Weil.
Really surprised to see how many members own the Grand Seiko.
A quick Google search shows that they are beautiful watches.
