Is this normal...

114060 bought 31/12/13. Accuracy has been varying. Hasn't stopped running in the 2.5 months. Noticed when I just wear it as I did for the first 6 or so weeks, end of the week it was +30 secs fast, still within cosc but not great. Then I decided to manually wind it twice during the week, the next several weeks has been +4 seconds out per week which is excellent. So is it common to get faster as the power reserve is lowered (but not enough to stop the watch)? Also does a manual wind twice a week create a problem long term?.... Thoughts.... Cheers Darren

Manual winding will not create a problem over the space of only a few years.
Sometimes there are reports of a watch taking a few weeks to settle in.
On the other hand, lying it in a different position when off can also affect time keeping variation. Who knows, but seeing as it is keeping good time now...

Yes, an underwound watch will run faster than one with proper wind, until it finally stops..

Manually winding will not hurt your watch many Rolex watches were manual wind and the Cellini line still is.

I shouldn't think that you would need to wind it twice a week though..

Thanks for the replies. Watch is on my wrist or sitting bolt upright in the green rolex box. It probably could be wound less, just decided to set watch on Sunday morning, wind Tuesday lunch time and again Thursday night, check and reset Sunday morning. Found the accuracy to be half a second a day based on that regime but over four seconds a day with just wearing.

It is possible that you are not active enough to keep the watch fully wound, or perhaps you do not wear the watch long enough (8 hours) each day to keep it fully wound. This would result in it running too fast.
