I've got to wonder how it would be worse than spirited riding?
Your watch should be on wrist holding the reins - opposite from the hand wielding the mallet and experiencing shock from ball strikes.

As a long standing supporter of the sport with a number of dear friends/acquaintances who are players, as well as instructors, referees and umpires.. .I know of no penalty for doing so.. .just watch your "hook"!! ;) Heck..I've seen Ignacio 'Nacho' Figueras wearing one!!
However, in my humble opinion..since Rolex does indicate the watch shouldn't be worn playing golf..I can't say that I would highly recommend doing so.. not unless they are a sponsor ;) LOL- It is to say the least a high impact sport after-all. PS..Stay safe out there!! |

It's my understanding that the Sub is going to be the best model for activities such as this. Other models aren't quite as hardy. ( It's famous as a "luxury beater.")
TRF: Would anyone like to comment on the durability of the different lines? OP: Which model were you planning to wear? The TT Sub named in your profile? |

Just cannot see the point in wearing any watch playing polo, but anything you can take a Rolex will take more.

Are these threads real?? I'm surprised Rolex ( since they frequent here) hasn't come up with an official " safe to do activity book" they should have it as required reading when purchasing..... Geez....

I think it would be alright as long as you are on top of the horse. It may not fair so well if you are underneath it.

You are right there, but the thing that Im concerned about is if the movement of the horse and my body could affect the watch.Im more worried about the bracelet than the movement

I see. If it is the bracelet that concerns you, maybe use a NATO strap in your teams colors while playing polo?
